Ha! I loved this sign. Speaks for itself, doesn't it?

There were people all along the March route who had either just stopped there along the way or had decided to come and hang out and watch the marchers. There was really no boundary on the route that wasn't lined with people.

Nothing like the power of logic to persuade others to your cause!

John, the purpose of a march is almost never to persuade others who disagree. It's the wrong forum for discussion.

A march or protest is, however, a forum for emotion and feeding the fires of a movement, so participants are a) counted as the force they are - which is helpful in convincing politicians that more people see the world in a certain way and b) reassured that they're not alone and the fight's worth fighting.
