this is version five, the 2002 version of this site. i keep moving towards more cross-browser compatibility. one of my office browsers is netscape four, and i get really frustrated when my own designs look like ass in it.

and yes, i realize that this version came quickly on the heels of version four. but the netscape thing was bugging me, and i was already in the process of moving my journal from diaryland to greymatter.

graphically, this design is all about light. it's composed of a series of pictures i collected/took and then adjusted to show off the light contained in them. the idea i was going for was sort of like fairy lights, and each section had a whimsical lyric to identify it.
